Check Valves

Crucial for flow, adaptability, safety in hydraulic systems.
Check valves are technical gaskets designed to prevent the flow of fluid in an undesirable direction. Their importance is crucial, especially in hydraulic systems and many other industries.
There are two types of check valves: flapper valves and umbrella valves.
1. Flapper valves consist of an elastic element, the flapper, which perfectly fits into a valve body seat, preventing fluid from flowing in the opposite direction. This type of valve is not only the most cost effective and provides a good seal but also allows for a higher fluid flow compared to other solutions. Additionally, they are particularly convenient in systems that require cleanliness, as the flapper prevents the ingress of external agents.
2. Umbrella valves are made up of a flexible disc that, when fluid flows in a certain direction, lifts to allow the passage of the fluid. In the opposite case, the disc adheres perfectly to the seat, preventing the flow of fluid in the opposite direction. These types of valves are extremely robust, suitable for high pressures, and provide excellent discharge capacity, ensuring the passage of liquids without obstacles.
In general, both types of check valves are available in a wide range of materials; the choice depends mainly on the intended application and the characteristics of the fluid to be controlled.
Check valves are indispensable for regulating the flow of liquids, and their use offers a series of advantages both economically and functionally. Choosing the most suitable model for one’s needs always guarantees the maximum efficiency of the system and the safety of the hydraulic network.
